Shillong, April 24: Voice of the People Party (VPP) president Ardent M. Basaïawmoit who is also the MLA of Nongkrem Constituency today visited the family members of Alos Nongpoh who died after collapsing at the VPP public meeting at Motphran on April 22 at around 3 PM.

Basaïawmoit accompanied by party leaders met the wife and children of Nongpoh at their house in Byrsiej village in Tyrso area of Ri-Bhoi District.

The VPP chief offered his condolences to the family members over the sudden demise of Nongpoh.

It may be recalled that Nongpoh who collapsed at the VPP gathering at Motphran was immediately rushed to Gordon Roberts Hospital at Jaïaw where he died soon after. His mortal remains were buried today at Byrsiej village.
