Shillong, Apr 29: Grant Thornton Bharat has expressed its satisfaction with the work it had executed in the setting up of six indoor cricket academies in the North East which were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 28.

The six indoor cricket academies are located in Meghalaya (Madan Kurkalang, Ri-Bhoi District), Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.

Grant Thornton Bharat served as the Project Management Consultant for the six projects, delivering end to end strategic, technical and execution support across all six locations from concept to commissioning.

The work included project conceptualisation and feasibility planning, design advisory, cost planning and procurement management, construction supervision, quality assurance, and commercial governance.

“Our priority was clear – quality delivery through planning, transparency, and collaboration. The scale of executions across multiple locations in the North East reflects the strength of the collective effort between our company, BCCI, the state cricket associations and other agencies,” said Arjun Singh who is the Sports Industry Leader of Grant Thornton Bharat.

Undertaken by the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), each indoor cricket academy is equipped with indoor cricket training facilities, modern gymnasiums, temperature controlled swimming pools, and a range of athlete support infrastructure.
