Shillong, Apr 30: A woman from Meghalaya was found dead in her rented room in Bengaluru yesterday.

Agatha Ba-ithianghun Khongwet hailing from Tangmang village near Pynursla, East Khasi Hills was found dead yesterday at around 7:30 PM.

The woman was reportedly living in a relationship with her alleged boyfriend identified as Nawaz Sharif from Manipur.

The case is currently under investigation by police to ascertain if it was a suicide or murder.

Condoling the death, members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Bengaluru Unit were present yesterday along with her friends to extend neccessary support.

The students’ union also urged the authorities to conduct a fair and thorough inquiry into the incident.
