Shillong, Aug 19: Shillong police today arrested three top leaders of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) following the violence that took place across Shillong during the KSU bike rally.
The arrested included KSU president Raymond Kharjana, vice president Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, and general secretary Reuben Najiar.
Immediately after arresting them from Jaïaw, police took them to Sadar Police Station.
It may be noted that Kharjana and Najiar had hurriedly called a press conference today evening where they denied that KSU members were involved in any of the violent cases in the city during the rally.
