Shillong, May 29: The State election machinery is ready to conduct the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in all 60 constituencies of Meghalaya.
“The election machinery is always ready since the SIR schedule for the State has already been announced by the Election Commission,” Chief Electoral Officer B D R Tiwari said today.

According to him, the SIR will be conducted as per the present electoral rolls and the base electoral rolls of 2005 and also as per the norms prescribed by the election commission.
Regarding the documents required for SIR, Tiwari said that voting card of the voter, voting card of mother and father were the main documents that have to be produced to officials conducting the SIR.
