Shillong, May 02: Sanwaka Surong emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Meghalaya 2026, securing the crown at a glittering finale held in Shillong.

The competition brought together contestants from different parts of the state, each showcasing confidence, talent, and intellect across multiple rounds. Surong’s performance throughout the event earned her the top honour.

Loretta Laloo was named the 1st Runner-Up, while Ameda Giovana Kyndiah secured the 2nd Runner-Up position.

The grand finale featured a mix of fashion segments, stage presentations, and interactive rounds, highlighting the abilities and aspirations of the contestants.

Organisers stated that the pageant continues to serve as a platform to encourage and uplift young women in Meghalaya, promoting confidence and personal development.
