Shillong, June 21: The 12th International Day of Yoga was observed with great enthusiasm at the Indian Air Force Eastern Air Command Headquarters in Upper Shillong on Saturday, bringing together dignitaries, defence personnel, and citizens in a collective celebration of health and wellness.
The programme, organised under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who joined hundreds of participants in performing various yoga asanas and breathing exercises.
Also present at the event were Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, senior government officials, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command, along with officers, personnel, and staff of the command.
