Shillong, Jul 20: Newly elected Rajya Sabha MP from Meghalaya, James P K Sangma today took the oath of office in the Rajya Sabha chamber in New Delhi.
Sangma was administered the oath of office by Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan. He took the oath in Hindi.

It may be noted that Sangma who is the leader of the NPP and elder brother of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, was elected unopposed for the lone Rajya Sabha seat from the State in June this year.
Along with Sangma, eight other newly elected Rajya Sabha members also took the oath of office.
