Nongpoh, May 4: Along with their counterparts in other districts of the State, school teachers of Ri-Bhoi District also took part in the poster campaign today to oppose the implementation of Meghalaya Non-Government Schools and Colleges Centralised Fund Scheme, 2026.

Teachers of Ri-Bhoi Presbyterian Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh pasted posters denouncing the implementation of the Centralised Fund Scheme which they alleged was not in accordance with the expectations of the teaching and non-teaching staff of non-government educational institutions.

The teachers of Ri-Bhoi Presbyterian Higher Secondary School also displayed banners and placards demanding for a proper pension scheme for the teachers and non-teaching employees of grant-in-aid schools and colleges in the State.

Members of the Khasi-Jaiñtia Deficit School Teachers’ Association (KJDSTA) in Ri-Bhoi District also took part in the poster campaign in their respective schools today.
