Nongpoh, November 04:  Launched by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, the initiative records success in SSC GD and MTET across Ri Bhoi and West Garo Hills Ri Bhoi.

Seven months after its launch in Ri Bhoi, Project ASPIRE has recorded a significant achievement: 41 candidates from Ri Bhoi and West Garo Hills have qualified in government examinations. The results mark an encouraging step for a district-led initiative designed to ensure that geography and financial circumstances do not limit young people’s access to quality teaching and examination preparation.

Of the 41 successful candidates, 16 cleared the SSC GD Constable Examination, while 25 qualified in the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET), moving closer to their career aspirations.

To celebrate the achievement, the Ri Bhoi District Administration organised a felicitation programme at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner on 4 November 2026. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Abhishek Saini honoured the successful candidates from Ri Bhoi with certificates and trophies, recognising their dedication, hard work and achievement.

“A young person’s opportunities should not be determined by where they live or what their family can afford. Through Project ASPIRE, we are bringing quality teaching and structured preparation within reach of more students. These 41 successful candidates show what our young people can achieve when their hard work is matched with the right support. I congratulate them and hope their achievement inspires many more to pursue their goals.” – Dr. Abhishek Saini, Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District

Project ASPIRE was inaugurated in Ri Bhoi by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K. Sangma, on 30 March 2026. Funded by NITI Aayog for Ri Bhoi, an Aspirational District, and implemented in collaboration with Filo, the initiative was subsequently adopted by the West Garo Hills District Administration, extending its reach to a second district.

Delivered through Filo’s technology and teaching platform, the programme combines two priorities: 24×7 live personal teachers for students in Classes IX to XII, and structured government examination preparation for Class XII-pass aspirants.

Under the leadership of Dr. Abhishek Saini, the Ri Bhoi District Administration has played a central role in implementing the programme through sustained coordination and encouragement.

The commitment of both district administrations has helped bring learning support closer to students who may otherwise face barriers to accessing it.

For Meghalaya, the achievement offers a practical example of how district leadership and technology-enabled teaching can work together to widen access to education and career preparation.  With 41 candidates qualifying in examinations, Project ASPIRE’s progress is now reflected in the achievements of the young people it serves.
