Shillong, Aug 23: The new church building of the Qualapatty Church of God, Shillong was formally opened today.
The previous century-old church building was gutted in a massive fire on November 17, 2019.
The new church building designed by prominent architectural firm Jwatbor Cajee & Associates was dedicated today by Church of God Business Association President Rev (Dr) Amos Christopher Moore in the presence of several pastors and thousands of church members.

Also present at the dedication service was Church of God Asia and Pacific Region Coordinator Don Armstrong and his wife Caroline.
The new church building was built at a cost of over Rs 10.7 crore.
The construction of the new building was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Work to construct the church building began in 2022.
