Shillong, June 5: Meghalaya’s young pageant achiever Erick Nongrum has been selected as an official finalist for the prestigious Mr. Teen Royal Northeast 2027, scheduled to be held on January 7 in Imphal, Manipur.
Erick will represent Meghalaya on the regional stage, carrying with him the aspirations of the state and a strong commitment to social advocacy. He is currently the reigning Mr. Nature Meghalaya 2025 and was also crowned 1st Runner-Up at Mr. Baisakhi 2026, achievements that have helped establish him as a promising young personality in the pageant circuit.
Speaking about his participation, Erick said that pageantry serves as a powerful platform to create meaningful impact and inspire positive change in society. Through his journey in the competition, he aims to promote awareness on two important issues—mental health and body positivity.

According to Erick, his advocacy focuses on encouraging young people to embrace self-love, challenge harmful stereotypes, and engage in open conversations about mental well-being. As preparations begin for the upcoming competition, Erick expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement he has received from people across Meghalaya. He hopes to represent the state with pride and make a meaningful impact both on and off the stage.
The Mr. Teen Royal Northeast pageant brings together contestants from across the Northeastern states, providing a platform to showcase talent, leadership, social awareness and cultural pride.
