Ranchi, May 1: In a story that feels almost unbelievable, a seven-year-old boy from Jharkhand has achieved what many adults only dream of — swimming across the Palk Strait.

Battling strong currents and open sea conditions, the young swimmer, Ishank, covered nearly 29 kilometres between Sri Lanka and India through sheer determination and courage.

For hours, he remained in the water, pushing through exhaustion and the challenges of the sea — something even trained swimmers find difficult. His achievement is not just about distance, but about the kind of discipline and mental strength rarely seen at such a young age.
