Shillong, April 29: Three criminals involved in the theft of Rs 7.77 lakh from an ATM of Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank at Bhoirymbong on April 6 have been arrested.
The arest was made in a special operation conducted jointly between police from Assam and Meghalaya in different locations of Barak district of Assam.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jiarul Hoque, Amjad Ali and Julhash Uddin.
According to police, the three were suspected to be part of an organised interstate gang involved in ATM theft.
Interrogation is on to identify other members of the gang.
