Shillong, April 29: The Indian Army will host a multilateral military exercise involving eleven friendly countries at the Foreign Training Node at Umroi military station in Ri-Bhoi District.

The military exercise – PRAGATI (Partnership of Regional Armies for Growth And Transformation in the Indian Ocean) – will be held from May 18 to 31.

The participating countries are Laos, Myanmar, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Nepal, Maldives, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Bhutan.

The exercise aims to strengthen defence cooperation, enhance interoperability and build mutual trust among the participating countries.
