Shillong, May 3: The 46th Biennial General Assembly and Centenary Jubilee Celebration of the Presbyterian Church of India was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong on Sunday, drawing large participation from across the North East.
The event, hosted by the Phudmuri Presbyterian Church under the KJP Synod Sepngi, witnessed the presence of delegates representing various regions of the North East, reflecting the Church’s long-standing spiritual and community presence in the region.
The celebration was attended by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma along with other dignitaries and community leaders.
In a social media message, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for being part of the event, stating that it was a blessed occasion to attend the celebration and acknowledging the faithfulness of God, while extending his appreciation to the organisers.
The programme highlighted the Church’s centenary journey, its contributions to society, and its continued role in promoting faith, unity, and community development across the region.
