Nongpoh, May 19:The Ri Bhoi district administration on Monday launched the nationwide campaign “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” at the DRDA Conference Hall with a focus on strengthening last-mile delivery of government welfare schemes and services.
The programme was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Project Director, SRES-DID, Ri Bhoi, Raja Brahma, in the presence of officials from different line departments.
Speaking during the launch, officials said the campaign aims to reach remote and underserved areas, especially tribal and vulnerable communities, by ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various government schemes and flagship programmes.

The campaign also seeks to encourage greater public participation and improve access to welfare services through coordinated efforts of all departments.
During the meeting, emphasis was laid on inter-departmental convergence for effective planning and smooth implementation of schemes at the grassroots level. Departments were urged to work collectively to ensure saturation coverage of government schemes and address grievances faced by the public.
Officials also highlighted the importance of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities to spread awareness among people at the village level. Health camps, community mobilisation programmes, public interaction sessions, transect walks and dissemination of scheme-related information through local communication platforms were identified as key outreach measures under the campaign.
The programme concluded with all participating departments reaffirming their commitment to work in close coordination for the successful implementation of the campaign across the district.
