A 33-year-old tourist from Tamil Nadu lost her life after being caught in a sudden clash between two elephants at the famous Dubare Elephant Camp in Karnataka’s Kodagu district.

According to reports, the woman had visited the popular tourist destination along with her husband and child when the incident occurred. Tourists had gathered near the river to watch the trained elephants being bathed when two elephants suddenly turned aggressive and began fighting with each other.

During the chaos, one of the elephants reportedly lost balance and fell into the river, crushing the woman in the process. Her husband, who was carrying their child at the time, desperately tried to rescue her, but she sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

The shocking incident created panic among tourists and staff members present at the camp. Authorities later rushed to the spot and initiated an inquiry into the incident.

Dubare Elephant Camp is one of Karnataka’s well-known tourist attractions, drawing visitors from across the country to witness elephant training and bathing activities.
