Five-Day Autumn Session Of Meghalaya Assembly To Begin On August 24

Shillong, Jul 31: The autumn session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will be held for five days from August 24 to August 28.

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Legislative Assembly which met in Shillong today approved the calendar for the session.

The BAC meeting was chaired by Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma and attended by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma, Opposition Chief Whip Charles Pyngrope, Assembly Secretary Malthus S. Sangma among others.

The five-day session will comprise of three days of government business and two days of private members’ business.

Also Watch: 

The private members’ business will be taken up on August 25 and August 27.

During the session, few Bills along with the Supplementary Demands for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation for 2026-2027 will be tabled and passed by the House
