Shillong, Jul 21: A high level meeting of the Meghalaya government was held today to review the progress of ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects relating to Meghalaya Houses across the country.
Chaired by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and attended by General Administration Department Minister Sosthenes Sohtun and other senior officials of the department, the meeting comprehensively took stock of the ongoing construction and expansion works, the development of new and additional Meghalaya Houses, and the functioning of existing facilities.
The discussions covered Meghalaya House projects in New Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Vellore, and Kolkata with focus on improving infrastructure, service delivery and operational efficiency.

The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of each project, examined timelines for implementation, and directed officials to ensure timely execution of the works while maintaining high standards of quality.
During the meeting, discussions also centred on strengthening the management and functioning of Meghalaya Houses to cater to the increasing requirements of Meghalaya residents travelling outside the State and ensure better services for students patients seeking medical treatment, government officials and other citizens.
