Shillong, Jul 20: The identity of the parents of a newborn baby girl whose dead body was found foating in a river in North Garo Hills District remains a mystery.
According to police, the dead baby’s body was found floating on the Rongdal River near Rangsa village on July 15.
The body is currently preserved at the morgue of Mendipathar Community Health Centre for identification.
North Garo Hills district police said that despite diligent efforts, the identity of the biological parents of the newborn baby girl is still unknown.
