Shillong, Oct 25: Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) Honorary Secretary Rayonald Kharkamni has been appointed as the Convenor of the North East Zone for the BCCI Senior Women’s T20 Inter-Zonal Tournament to be held in Assam.
The North East Zone comprises six states: Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.
In this connection, Kharkamni will convene a meeting in Guwahati in the first week of November to select the zonal team. Mamon Majumdar, a member of the IPL Governing Council, will also be present during the selection process.
All six states have been requested to recommend the names of their selectors by October 30, 2026, for inclusion in the Zonal Selection Committee.
The appointment is a recognition of the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s commitment to the development and promotion of cricket.
