Shillong, Apr 30: The body of a young tourist who fell into a pool at Wei Sawdong in Sohra was found today.
The 15-year-old girl slipped while taking photos and fell into the natural pool yesterday at around 11: 30 AM.
Immediately, local villagers from Laitduh along with the Search and Rescue Team (SRT) of Fire & Emergency Services along with Sohra Police personnel conducted a search for the body till sunset.
Today morning at around 7:30 AM, local villagers resumed the search and spotted the body stuck between rocks in the pool.
SRT personnel who arrived at the spot were able to retrieve the body.
The girl who hails from Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh had come with her family to visit Sohra.
