Shillong, Aug 1: The Central government has today released additional installment of tax devolution to all states in the country amounting to Rs 1,09,019 crore.
Out of this total amount, Meghalaya received Rs 688 crore.

The release of this installment is in addition to the normal monthly devolution which would be released on August 10.
The release of this net proceeds of Central government taxes and duties for August 2026 would strengthen the finances of states to accelerate their capital and developmental expenditure.
