Shillong, February 23: A five-day Advanced Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme (A-ESDP) on Packaging Technology, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, under the ESDP Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
This skill development programme was commenced today at Auxillium Training Centre, Bhoirymbong, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya, and will be concluded till February 27, 2026.
The initiative aims to strengthen the capabilities of MSMEs, start-ups, and aspiring entrepreneurs from the North Eastern Region by equipping them with practical knowledge and advanced skills in modern packaging technologies and systems.
The programme covers different types of packaging, packaging machinery and technology, packaging design with a focus on sustainability and branding, as well as quality control, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
The training includes expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and practical exposure to packaging innovations and industry practices to promote product value addition, market readiness, and sustainable enterprise growth in the region.
