MTET exams postponed as teachers have to do Census, SIR duties

Shillong, May 18:The Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test (MTET) originally schedule for May 29 has been postponed. No new date has been set.

The decision comes in response to appeals by teachers facing conflicts due to the ongoing mandatory national duties.

Many teachers are currently split between their classroom responsibilities and active assignments for the ongoing Census enumeration and the upcoming duty for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
