Shillong, Jun 11: NPP leader James Pangseng K. Sangma who is soon going to represent Meghalaya in the Rajya Sabha has been removed from his post as Chairman of the Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
The State government has appointed Sohra MLA Gavin M. Mylliem as the new Chairman of the MIDC.

Moreover, State BJP president Rikman Momin has been appointed as the Adviser to the Meghalaya government for the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department.
Momin will enjoy the perks and facilities under category ‘A’.
The latest appointments come at a time when the State government faced strong criticism for wasting public money on political appointees to accomodate leaders of parties belonging to the ruling MDA-2 coalition.
