Shillong, September 27: The College of Agriculture (CoA), Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya, participated in the live telecast of the inauguration of newly constructed Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels, along with Academic and Administrative Blocks, at the College of Horticulture (CoH), Bermiok, on Thursday.
The inauguration was conducted by Shri Om Prakash Mathur, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was virtually joined by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Minister of Rural Development, Government of India, Dr. Mangi Lal Jat, Director General, ICAR, and Dr. Rajbir Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), ICAR.
The ceremony also saw the presence of Shri Bhagirath Choudhary, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare; Shri Puran Kumar Gurung, Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Government of Sikkim; Shri B. S. Panth, Hon’ble MLA, Temi-Namphing; Dr. G. Kadirvel, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone VI, Guwahati; and Dr. A. K. Pandey, Dean, CoH, Bermiok. Faculty members, students, and members of the local community attended the event, making it a grand and spirited celebration.
At College of Agriculture, CAU(I), Kyrdemkulai Meghalaya, the programme was witnessed virtually by Dean Prof. Ram Singh, along with faculty, staff, and students, symbolizing academic solidarity with CoH, Bermiok. The event highlighted CAU’s continued efforts toward strengthening educational infrastructure to promote holistic growth and wider learning opportunities for students in the region.
